ERDI provides a range of educational research and opportunities for CTOs, assistant/deputy chief superintendents, and superintendents. This program has encouraged dialogue among industry leaders as well as school district leaders regarding the role of leadership and equity within the education system. ERDI hosted its first Thought Leader Symposium. This symposium brought together school district leaders and industry professionals to discuss ways to improve equity in education.

Programs offered by ERDI
ERDI Programs offer international students a way to enhance their education in the country they are from. ERDI courses can be taken by students studying at the University of Eastern Finland. These programs are intended to enhance intercultural dialogue and address environmental issues globally. ERDI courses have been planned and taught in collaboration by teachers of both countries. This multicultural teaching environment is a benefit for both teachers and students.
ERDI's Testifying in Court Program will provide students with insight into criminal legal processes and the court system. Students will be able to gain a deeper understanding about the court system and how they can present their testimony.
Underwater Crime Scene Investigations Program
ERDI Underwater Crime Scene Investigation Program is designed for law enforcement professionals to acquire the skills necessary to conduct underwater crime scenes investigations. The course will teach participants how to collect evidence, document the scene, and provide court-ready testimony. The course is free for law enforcement personnel as well as emergency service personnel.
Instructors who have extensive experience in forensic investigations will be teaching the course. They are certified and experienced in underwater crime scene investigation. They have extensive knowledge in law enforcement and criminal justice. They are experts in the science of crime scene investigation. They will train public safety and law enforcement professionals around the globe.
Confined Space Diving Ops component
This ERDI component teaches students the skills and knowledge necessary to perform limited operations in confined spaces. This training conforms to OSHA, NFPA and FEMA regulations concerning water rescue. The students will be able to handle a wide range of emergency situations in confined spaces. Additionally, students will be able to clean up the bodies of victims and conduct a thorough investigation for evidence.
