Anse Chastanet

The Anse Chastanet resort is located in an idyllic setting near the Pitons and close to the island's best reefs. It was opened in 1968 and has since grown to be a 48-room resort. It's nestled between two ridges.

Divers can explore the Anse Cochon North & South Reef. This pair of dive spots is located between the islands. Both sites can be reached from the beach, and they range in depth between 10-40 feet. They are both great for beginners and experienced divers. Although the coral is more abundant on the northern side, there are many reef fish at the other end. You can expect to see octopus as well, sea whips, trumpetfish, and sea whips.
In the south end of Anse Cochon, the Lesleen M is an old cargo ship, which the Fisheries Department of Saint Lucia sank in 1986 as an artificial reef. The seagrass beds that attract many species of fish surround the sunk vessel. The wreck was intentionally sunk in order to create a diving site. You might also see stingrays or barracudas.
