Leo Carillo
Leo Carrillo La is a California state parks located along Los Angeles County's southern coast. It is part the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Divers have the option to choose from three main sites at Leo Carrillo. These dive sites are great options for beginners. They have easy entry points, ample parking, and offer great diving opportunities. These sites are also popular for night diving, lobster hunting, and you'll find plenty of marine life.

Santa Barbara Island
Santa Barbara Island boasts some of the best offshore diving sites. You can take a boat ride to reach these amazing dive sites. These spots are ideal for hunting and photography as they are often very rugged. These areas also have healthy kelp beds, purple hydro coral, and other natural resources. The visibility is also excellent for Southern California waters.
You can also go snorkeling or kayaking on the island. Tent camping is possible if it's allowed by the weather. It is also home to large numbers of pinnipeds such as harbor seals, northern Elephant seals, and California Sea Lions. These animals can be seen in the rocks surrounding the sea lion nestery. There are several overlooks on the island.
Anacapa Island
Anacapa Island supports a wide variety marine life. One of America's first Marine Protected Areas can be found in this region. The region offers diving that is not only great for beginners but also for seasoned divers. The waters surrounding the island are warm enough to allow you to dive with a wetsuit. In the autumn and summer, temperatures can easily reach 70° F (21°C). However, temperatures in winter can fall as low at 50 degrees F (10 degrees Celsius). It is recommended to wear a 7mm suit. These months are when visibility is generally at least 100 feet (30M).
You can reach Anacapa by diving charter boats as well as the Island Packers. You will find many dive sites on the island, including a 40-foot tall arch rock. These sites are also accessible from the sea surface with snorkeling gear.

Veteran's Park
Veteran's Park is a Green Space off Ocean Drive with a playground, fields and other amenities. This is a great spot for families to enjoy time together. It is also very close to the beach. The park has a wonderful view of ocean from its top on sunny days. It is open year-round and has a lot to offer.
Parking is easy. Veteran's Park makes it an ideal location to start your diving adventure. The park is easy to find and offers restrooms and parking. The meter will always be checked and there's an outdoor shower where you can wash your gear. The park also has a changing area, but restrooms close at dusk.
